Welcome to St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church at Clarence Gardens

St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church
St Francis has operated at this site for over 80 years, and is a happy community of faith seeking to follow Jesus and serve the community. The style of churchmanship is classically middle Anglican. The church seeks to honour equally the sacrament of the word and the sacrament of the table, and it is hoped that most if not all would feel liturgically comfortable.
In 2005 St Francis entered into a Covenant relationship with All Saints Anglican Church Colonel Light Gardens whereby the services of one priest are utilized by the two churches. In addition the churches share liturgical and social occasions, and two shared outreach ministries. Friendship at Francis provides a meal and social engagement monthly for older citizens and is held at St Francis Community Centre. All Saints also provides a main Sunday morning service structured and conducted for children on the third Sunday of every second month. This service complements a similar service at St Francis to make up a coordinated childrens' monthly liturgical/ministry event which is based in the normal activities of the family of faith.
